Our History:

In January 1996, Tom and Lisa Hanson began a Christian based plumbing and general construction company. Working from their home, they employed between three and four employees and handled all the office duties without even a computer. By early 1997, they knew they were ready for someone to help with the financial aspect of the business, and the Lord led them to Charles Buchikos.

Plumb Better, Inc. incorporated in July, 1997. The office was moved to a trailer next door to the Hansons' home, and they bought the company's first computer. Charles handled the finances, Lisa ran the office and Tom worked in the field. By 2000, Plumb Better outgrew the Youngstown office and relocated to East 6th Street, a more central location. By this time, 5 trucks operated for both plumbing and new construction services. In early 2003, the company had again outgrown the office at 6th Street. After much prayer, the current location at 314 West 8th Street was purchased.

Since 1996, Plumb Better has come a long way. Growing from a one-man operation to a thriving multi-employee corporation, many challenges have been overcome along the way. Success has always been attributed to blessings and guidance from the Lord. Every decision has been made prayerfully and with one understanding - if the Lord does not lead us in that direction, we will not go.
